Onboarding

The first steps, shown instead of explained.

Many users decide in their first session whether they stay. An onboarding video welcomes them, shows the first actions in the order they need them and says where to get help. It follows a flow the agent recorded in your application.

A guided path with stops, the first ones checked, a flag at the end

What the video contains

  1. Welcome and goal

  2. The first screen after signing in

  3. Three to five first steps, in the order of the flow

  4. Where to get help

Where it fits

After sign-up

As a welcome mail or right in the app's empty state: the video leads to the first result.

For new team members

When a customer invites colleagues, they see the same video in their language.

For different roles

Admin, editor, reader: same software, different first steps. Each role gets its own video; if a role needs different access, you create a separate project for it.

How Klickdemo does it

  1. A recorded flow as the backbone

During exploration the agent records flows (set up the account, create the first object, invite a colleague). The onboarding video follows one of them step by step; the check allows no scene that jumps back in the order.

  2. A calm pace

Onboarding videos first name the areas the user needs and then show exactly one step with its result per scene.

  3. Keep it current

When the first steps change, Klickdemo checks the script against the current interface and repairs only the scenes that differ. From Pro this can also run weekly or monthly on a schedule.

  • Without a recorded flow in the knowledge base no onboarding video can be created; the agent explores first.
  • Flows that create data (account, invitation) run only with your permission; what the agent creates stays in your application, so we recommend a demo account.
  • Invitation and confirmation mails from your product go to a project mail address so the flow continues without you.

Questions about this

Can I get the video in several languages?

Yes. Every additional language is translated, spoken by its own voice and fully re-recorded (30 credits per minute), in the switched interface when your product can switch languages and the switch is set up in the project.

What if my onboarding requires an e-mail code?

The project gets its own mail address. The agent reads only the code or link from it, nothing else.
